"VimpelCom" signed a contract with Huawei for extended support network in the Volga and Far Eastern federal districts

The mobile operator "Beeline" announced the signing of an agreement with Huawei to transfer to the extended support service functions and operation of networks in the two macro-regions - the Volga and Far East.

The operator said, as part of the agreement, the service will be given all the work on the use of mobile and fixed networks, located in the Far East and Volga regions. Part of a network of broadband access and work on the connection of new broadband customers as a performer playing Russian integrator "NVision Group", which has expertise and experience in implementing similar projects in Russia. The project includes 12 branches of the Volga region and 10 branches of the Far East region. Within the project, Huawei planned to move about 1,300 employees.

Huawei has been selected as a result of the tender, which was announced in February 2012 and lasted four months. Invitations to tender were sent to three international telecommunications vendors with broad international experience in similar projects. Signed a contract with Huawei for 5 years with the possibility of extension. Transmission service network maintenance is scheduled in October 2012.
