Windows Phone 8 Smartphone HTC Elation seen on the manufacturer's website

The company HTC has created a page on its website dedicated to the new smartphone HTC Elation under the operating system Windows Phone 8. Now, however, the page has been removed - it is, apparently, was established early, even before the official announcement of the device. However, the resource UbuntuLife managed to save a screenshot with the image and the model. It is expected that HTC Elation will be presented at a presentation in New York on 19 September.

As stated on the manufacturer's website, the new model features a dual-core processor with a clock speed of 1.4 GHz and is equipped with 4.7-inch touch screen with a resolution of 1280x720 pixels. Also among the features of the device - 1 GB RAM, 32 GB of internal memory, support for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and NFC and a host of sensors: gyroscope, G-sensor, light, distance, and digital compass. The device works in networks GSM and HSDPA.

HTC 6435LVW

It turns out that the HTC 6435LVW is everything we were hoping for. A reliable source has confirmed that the devices does feature a 5-inch 1080p HD display and is nearly identical to the mysterious black HTC device we’re already seen.  Our source has confirmed a 480ppi display, quad-core Snapdragon S4, 1.5GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. He also points out that there is a second notification LED for calls/missed alerts/charging on the back of the device near the camera.

Currently, the device is being referred to as the HTC DIx, but the name is still up in the air. Our source believes that the HTC phablet will be marketed under the DROID name due to the “red techno” background and an unmistakable robotic “DROID” notification sound. Based on that, we’re going to assume the DIx name stands for DROID Incredible X.

While a 5-inch phablet from HTC would need active pen input to directly compete with the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note II, our source was not able to get the HTC Scribe pen from the Flyer to work with the device. It could be that the software has not yet been enabled, but we’re doubtful that the HTC DIx will feature active pen support. HTC has also decided not to equip the HTC DIx with a microSD card slot for external storage and the battery is said to be non-removable. This news will certainly be a disappointment to many.

Our source has been reliable in the past, but some of the details he has presented so not directly match up with previous rumors about the HTC 6435LVW. Benchmark scores have shown the HTC 6435LVW is powered by a dual-core Qualcomm MSM8960 Snapdragon S4 with a 1794 x 1080 display featuring a pixel density of 418ppi.

As of now, the HTC DIx (HTC DROID Incredible X) is the device I am most excited about. The HTC One X+ with an NVIDIA Tegra 3 Plus will certainly make a lot of people happy, but the prospect of having a phone with Qaulcomm’s quad-core Snapdragon S4 with a 5-inch 1080p display is too compelling to overlook.

HTC Windows Phone 8X Gets More Confirmation, Specs Leak

A few days back we got our first hint at how one of HTC’s anticipated Windows Phone 8 smartphones might arrive, with a leak suggesting that the rumored HTC Accord would launch as the Windows Phone 8X. If that wasn’t enough to convince you, that same name shows up in another leak out today, alongside a few specs for the handset.

Right now, it’s looking like the name’s going to be a mouthful; rather than just the HTC 8X, all the leaks we’ve seen so far have the phone as the “Windows Phone 8X”. HTC may not be much for brevity, but at least that makes it clear to consumers just what this model it.

The leaked specs sheet confirms what we’ve heard about the dual-core SoC, gigabyte of RAM, 4.3-inch 720p display, and NFC support. It also mentions 16GB of storage with an asterisk that could indicate microSD expansion, an eight-megapixel main camera, and Beats Audio.

HTC’s big event is scheduled for September 19, and we’ve got our fingers crossed that we’ll learn full details on its WP8 lineup then.

HTC One X+ smartphone outed by annonymous tweet

Specs for a device that an XDA developer is calling the HTC One X+ has been revealed on his or her own personal Twitter feed.

The HTC One X+ will purportedly be the successor to the Taiwanese manufacturer’s current flagship smartphone, the HTC One X.

According to @Football4PDA’s Twitter feed, the handset will measure 134.36 x 69.9 x 9.3mm and weigh 129 grams. However, it doesn't stop there, with the revelation the HTC One X+ will also pack an Nvidia AP37 1.6GHz quad-core processor and a 1.7GHz single core, 32GB ROM and 1GB RAM.

It will also run the latest Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system and skinned with HTC’s own Sense 4.5 UI. The battery will remain an 1800mAH, which may irk some after the HTC One X received criticism for a poor battery life.

The source of the leak has form when it comes to outing HTC devices and recently revealed that the final name of the HTC Accord would be the Windows Phone X8 by HTC.

Obviously until we get official word from HTC it’s difficult to assert how accurate these claims are, but with HTC set to host a press event in New York on 19 September, all could be revealed in the next few weeks.

HTC unveils the One SC, SU, and dual-sim ST for China

The folks from HTC have been hard at work designing a few new budget aimed smartphones for their Chinese market because we have three new phones to show you today. While this was supposed to be HTC’s rebound year where they released less phones and focused on quality we’ve still seen quite a bit. Below is three brand new decent looking devices headed to China.

Out of the blue with no announcement or warning HTC China added three brand new “One” series smartphones to their website. Those being the HTC One SC, SU, and the ST. Pretty interesting to say the least — and we’re certainly not fans of the naming scheme. We’re not sure of HTC’s plans to help improve 2012 but this could be a sign of what’s to come.

HTC has an event scheduled for September 19th, and we’ll have all the details when that day comes. We’ve heard rumors of a new 1.7 GHz quad-core One X+ but these new phones we’re seeing today might show a different, more budget aimed approach. Here’s the new phones:

The HTC One SU is the first smartphone to appear (top image) and has a rather odd design. I like the large HTC letters across the back but that’s all the praise I’ll be giving. It rocks a 4.3-inch WVGA (480 x 800) display, a 1 GHz CPU, 1GB of RAM, 4GB internal storage, micro-SD, 5 megapixel camera and only Android 4.0 ICS. Pretty mid-range at best.

Then what you see above is the One SU which is essentially the same phone as the one above regarding specs. A single-core 1GHz CPU, 1GB of RAM, 4GB ROM, 1,800 mAh battery and the same low-res 4.3-inch display. Its design is a bit more plain and should probably appeal to more users.

Then the last of the three is the new dual-sim HTC One ST which is the best of the three, while looking like the cheapest if you ask us. Again the ST has the exact same mid-range average specs as the two devices mentioned above only it has a dual-core 1.0 GHz CPU instead of a single-core, then it also offers dual-sim options for those in need. Oh and it has a sweet Candy Apple Red color too.

For now we can’t be certain what HTC is planning for the US markets, but this looks to be what the Chinese marketplace will be getting from the “quietly brilliant” company. You can see more on their Chinese website by clicking here.

HTC One ST - dvuhsimochny smartphone for the Chinese market

The network has information about that HTC is preparing a smartphone for the Chinese market with the ability to work with two SIM-cards simultaneously. Model called One ST is a typical mid-range device, but is not typical for HTC. The smartphone has a 4.3-inch WVGA screen and a processor with a clock speed of 1 GHz. The device runs Android 4.0 operating system with a proprietary interface Sense, and has a relatively low weight and thickness - these options are 115 grams and 9.25 mm, respectively. China smartphone HTC One ST will be presented at the event on September 19. The possible availability of other markets not yet known.
